Solar Power for PKH Aoral Office and Classroom
In June 2015, the PKH staff SangKheom install a complete Photovoltaic system for PKH Aoral office and classroom using the design schematic below.
Battery Voltage Profile for the Office and Classroom.
Below is all the pictures of the installation. Laying the electrical wiring to the building. And fabricating the metal structure to hold the solar panels and an enclosure for the control panel.
Install the metal enclosure for the control panel.
Installing the metal frame for solar mounting on the roof of the vehicle shelter.
Installing the 2,000W Inverter on the wall and batteries attached.
A completed control panel in the enclosure.
The 6 fans and 2 LED lamps are working fine.

Added a 50 Amp Fuse for the Solar Batteries
We have added a fuse, 50 Ampere rating, between the lead acid batteries and the charge controller. This will protect the system when a short circuit happens, thus saving the batteries from over discharge.
The location where we added the fuse is at Aoral, Cambodia, the 1KW solar system and the 240W solar system located at the workshop.

Solar Lamp Post (new)
On April 2015, I have install a new Solar Lamp Post using donated solar panel (5W) and bought a low cost charge controller (EPSOLAR-Landstar) to make up a solar lamp post. The system is operating on 12Vdc and will automatically light up at night and turn off the lights during daytime.
